Submit a Valentine

The event has ended! The forms on this page are no longer functional.

Ways to participate:

Multiple submissions are allowed and encouraged! ♡

Create a card:

The main display on the event page will be a gallery of valentine's cards created by you! Feel free to interpret the greeting card theme as literally or as loosely as you'd like. Maybe you'll take inspiration from cheesy eCards, come up with some web-related puns, or express admiration and support for your fellow webmasters. Maybe your card won't be a card at all, but a locket holding a picture of what's dear to you. Maybe your submission will just have a big 'ol heart on it. It's up to you!

Image-based cards

Pixel art, traditional art, photography, graphic design, we love it all! Send us two images and we'll display it like the example on the main page, shown again below.

Will you sign my guestbook?
I love you(r website).
XOXO,

Could be email or Discord, whichever you prefer

Code-based cards

Because we're a community centered around crafting websites, we wanted to try allowing code as submissions for this event. Will it be a challenge to put it all together? Maybe! Will it be fun? Yes!

To make this work, we're going to have you go against best practices and use inline styling only. This is to prevent each card's styling from conflicting with the other submissions. View the source of this page to see how the cards are formatted and check out the inline styling on the example below.

I'm proud to have you on my button wall, Valentine!

Happy Valentine's Day! Made with love.
XOXO,

All inline styling, please!

Text-based cards

This option is the easiest! Just send us the text you'd like to appear on each page of the card, and we'll put it together for you! It'll look something like the example below.

Your text here!

I'll adjust the
size & colors.

What will
you write?

So many possibilities...

Create a webpage:

Like previous 32-Bit Cafe events (Holiday, Halloween), you can participate by submitting a webpage based on the theme. This can take the form of a blog post, a shrine, or anything else you can dream up! We're excited to see what you create!
